Never had a Kumquat!?

We had 4 beautiful days in LRC. Was nice to enjoy this choice sandstone and see some friendly faces. Huge thanks to the Atlanta Lee contingency.

The Peanut

This is a relatively obscure line on North Mountain in Hueco called The Peanut. It is named after a small, peanut-shaped and sized feature that sticks out of the iron rock way up high. We ran the send train on it with five sends in an hour. Earning 8 points, with a high crux, and a potentially bad landing if not padded well, it is no surprise that this classic gem remains obscure.

Bouldering in the Hueco Tanks

Hueco Tanks truly is the American Bouldering Mecca. Every season that I come back my awe is renewed for this place. Here are a select few photographs from my trip so far.

Bishop

I had one day left out west and the weather in Bishop was going to be perfect. I woke up at 5:30 am and was driving a frost covered car South from Reno to Bishop by 5:45 am. Carson Valley, Topaz Lake, and Mono Lake were all layered with a thick fog. Quite a sight. I arrived in Bishop at 9:15, rented a pad at Wilson's, hit the Looney Bean, Vons and was at the Happy's by 10:00. Ran into a slew of old friends at the Happy's.
